The Zigzag villa is designed based on the contrast between heaviness and lightness, and float and stability. It’s main idea is to disrupt the traditional order of floors and create floating in space. This uncommon combination not only gives the building a dynamic form, but it also creates a unique spatial experience for the residents. The volumes of the villa are defined in three main layers and each of them rotates in a different direction and induces a sense of dynamism and mobility.
In the facade of the building, a combination of contrasting materials such as white concrete, glass, and dark metal is used to help visual comprehensibility and emphasize spatial layering. The windows are designed to provide the best visual connection between the interior spaces and the surrounding nature.
The green roof and semi-private terraces have created spaces for relaxation and interaction with the natural environment, while the swimming pool, which is extended in the same line as the volume, increases the sense of space continuity.
In the design of Zigzag Villa, an attempt has been made to combine the traditional concept of residence with a contemporary look of architecture. The internal movement paths are planned with diverse and different views from different angles of the building, in such a way that each space expresses a unique feeling. Indirect lighting under the volumetric layers emphasizes the floating form and turns the villa into an architectural work of art at night. This house is not only a living space, but also an architectural experience of movement, float, and harmony with nature.
