Seriema House: A Fusion of Modern Architecture and Nature in Brazil

March 10, 2025

Seriema House, designed by TETRO Arquitetura in Brazil, is inspired by the surrounding nature and the native Seriema bird. The house is located in a peaceful and lush area, accessible through a beautiful mountain range. This unique location offers a natural and pristine environment for its residents, transporting them from the bustle of the city to the tranquility of nature.

The design of the house consists of two distinct sections: an open, social area with expansive views of the mountains, and a private, enclosed section located within the forest. This division naturally makes the house flexible in its function as a space for both rest and social interaction. The use of natural materials such as dark stones, white stone flooring, and reflective titanium ceramic cladding creates a deep connection between the building and nature.

This project features a minimalist and poetic design, utilizing forms that harmonize with nature, creating an ideal space for reflection, study, and gathering. Seriema House, with an area of approximately 350 square meters, is recognized as an example of modern and sustainable architecture in harmony with the environment.

The Seriema House project is set to be completed in 2024 and serves as a standout example of the integration of modern architecture with nature and the environment. This house, in addition to its visual beauty, offers a dynamic and evolving experience of architecture that fully blends with its surroundings and will inspire sustainable architecture in harmony with nature.
