In the latest report on the outstanding sustainable triplex villa project, Triplex Vila Romana, by Pietro Terlizzi Arquitetura in the Vila Romana district of São Paulo, we witness a fusion of art, culture, and innovation in architectural design. This 250-square-meter project, implemented in an existing building, reimagines spaces and incorporates modern solutions, offering a fresh definition of luxurious and sustainable living, and stands out as a prominent example in the field of sustainable triplex villa design.
On the first floor of this sustainable triplex villa design, the social entrance is inspired by Brasília’s modern art and features Athos Bulcão tiles. Public spaces, including the dining room, kitchen, and living area, are designed as an open, integrated layout that not only enhances aesthetics but also brings natural light and effective ventilation into the interior. The thoughtful use of colors and materials—such as the pink kitchen combined with graphite surfaces and natural wood—reflects careful attention to user experience and sustainability in material selection.
On the second floor of the project, the design team faced the challenge of creating an open and expansive view of the pool area. By replacing the pool wall with glass and designing a multifunctional environment, this floor has been transformed into a dynamic space that includes living, working, play, and relaxation areas, maximizing natural light and cross-ventilation—one of the key principles in sustainable triplex villa design to reduce energy consumption and enhance user comfort.
Another notable feature of this project is the multifunctional rooftop design, located on the third floor. Utilizing lightweight steel structures and adjustable coverings, it allows use under various weather conditions. This area includes a sunken seating space with a barbecue, an open-air cinema with a retractable screen, and expansive city views, offering a unique experience of connecting with both the natural and urban environment, emphasizing the importance of integrating the environment into sustainable triplex villa design.
The Triplex Vila Romana project is a prominent example of sustainable triplex villa design, combining art, local culture, and modern architectural solutions to offer a unique and practical urban living experience. The use of natural lighting, efficient ventilation, thoughtful materials, and smart spatial design are among the features that make this project a noteworthy model in contemporary architecture.
